Martha Chapter 34 O E S meets at Masonic Temple
The first fall meeting of Martha Chapter 34 OES was held in the Masonic Temple on Monday Sept 10 with 50 members and guests. Worthy Matron Eunice Perks welcomed all and introduced Blanche Senft Gerry Berkey and Jean Wright. Twenty two past matrons and patrons were honored with gifts. A practice for officers set for Sept 19 and a Friendship Party invited attendees with white elephant prizes. Refreshments were served by the Stars from the Trestle Creek and Hope area.

Military Chapel Wedding Unites Gale Newcomb and Daniel Boyle
Gale Newcomb and Daniel Boyle wed August 28 at the Naval Base Chapel San Diego in a pink and white carnation setting. The bride, daughter of Wayne and Newcomb of Laclede, wore a floor length empire waist gown with lace, while her elbow veil was held by embroidery. Matron of honor E W Millikin wore pink, attended by others and the group in dress blues. A reception followed at the Millikin home and the couple planned to live at the NTC residence.
