Girl Killed In Priest Lake Boat Mishap
A boating accident at Priest Lake left 12 year old Michelle Rae Walton dead. She was towed on a surfboard behind a boat driven by her mother Carolyn Walton when she fell overboard and was struck by the returning boat. She died at Newport hospital from a severed spine. Drugs Found On Youth Here In Sandpoint
An 18 year old Sandpoint youth, Ronald Olson, was arrested Saturday by Sandpoint Police on indecent exposure and later charged with possession of a controlled substance after marijuana was found on his person. He was released on $200 bond from Bonner County Jail. Olson, reportedly on leave from the Navy, was arrested on First Avenue. A bag of marijuana and a hash pipe were found during a jail search.
