Indians Fight For Truckee Water in Nevada Case
U.S. District Judge Gerhard Gesell heard final arguments in Pyramid Lake Paiute Indians suit seeking more Truckee River water. The tribe says Interior criteria under Secretary Morton shortchanges Pyramid Lake and benefits the Newlands Project. The judge questioned the court’s power to rewrite the criteria.
