Idaho Governor May Seek Munson Resignation Over Beer Bust
Gov Cecil Andrus said he will ask Dr J P Munson to resign from the Idaho Board of Education if wrongdoing is found in connection with a teenage beer party at Munson's Sandpoint home on May 15. Investigators found Mark Munson bought beer but no conclusive link to a bust. the probe should wrap in two weeks.

Streams Close General Fishing Season in Idaho Panhandle
The general fishing season on streams and rivers in the Idaho Panhandle closes on Oct 31 with lakes remaining open in most cases. Some waters have different seasons and anglers are advised to consult the 1974 fishing regulations for exceptions. Year round fishing remains possible on sections of the Pend Oreille River Priest River and Spokane River.

Planners Grant Rezone Petition in Hope Peninsula
The Bonner County Planning and Zoning Commissions approved a majority residents petition to rezone 277 acres from Recreational Open Space to Restricted Residential. Exemption requests for five acres owned by Barbara Wyew and Elizabeth Colescott were denied. Richard and Mrs. Lersch were denied an exemption though grandfathered commercial plans may continue. Letters opposed exemptions cited protecting the area from further commercial development.
