Post Falls Opens $1.2 Million Spokane River Bridge
A new bridge costing 1.2 million dollars across the Spokane River near Post Falls Idaho has opened to traffic. It replaces the earlier structure that collapsed early in 1971 severing south river access to the town.

Group Serves Notice On St. Joe River Control Fight
Avery Idaho. The St. Joe Valley Association says it will continue its dispute with the federal Scenic and Wild Rivers Act over river control. Dooley Cramp notes more than 200 landholders belong to the group and favors county zoning. A Forest Service impartial study on including the St. Joe under the act is expected by 1975. The main objection is that the act would lock up about a quarter of the land on both riverbanks from logging, harming the valley economy.
