Bicycle Security Advice From Experts
A guide recommends placing a bicycle in full view of an attendant or guarding it. If this is not possible, lock the bike to a tree or other immovable object with a case hardened welded steel chain. Thieves can cut many chains with bolt cutters, so use a sturdy chain and a key lock. Ensure the chain is long enough to loop through both wheels and the frame.
