A weekend of burglaries reported in Kootenai and Sandpoint included a $14300 haul of miscellaneous goods from Whiskey Jack Condominiums. Other thefts included a chainsaw, bowling gear, a toolbox, a macrame, and a cash envelope, with damages listed and several attempted entries. No suspects named.

Sandpoint police arrested Patrick Shane Foster 19 on burglary and traffic warrants after Tafts Department Store reported a break in November 8. $261 in cash and clothing were stolen. two coats and $90 were later recovered. Foster charged with first degree burglary and released on $90 bond. Wayne Russell Gaston also charged with first degree burglary but not yet arrested.
