Guthrie to replace Dave Hare as interim sheriff Monday with Hare and Bill Rice remaining on payroll until January 10 as regular deputies. The Forest Service releases the Final Environmental Impact Statement and land use plan for the 101 820 acre Lamb Upper West Branch Planning Unit in Bonner County Idaho and Pend Oreille County Washington. The plan allocates resources emphasizes wildlife habitat timber recreation and water protection with a 6160 acre primitive recreation area and portions in the Pend Oreille river study area.
