Blackfoot Man Sentenced for Manslaughter
Blackfoot resident Vincent Miera was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the death of Mabel Lopez. He was sentenced Monday by Seventh District Court Judge Arnold Beebe to not more than 10 years in the state prison and remanded to Bingham County sheriff custody. Lopez died after being shot on June 1 with her death occurring June 22.

A Peking advance group member to the United Nations offered a $100 bill to a stewardess to cover a $2.50 earphone fee. The stewardess could not change it, no charge was applied.
