Vandal Boosters Hold Kickoff Session in Sandpoint

University of Idaho athletic staff and local boosters gathered for a kickoff meeting in Sandpoint attended by 14 staff members and many boosters. Highlights included Elks Club golf, a dinner, and Ed Knecht praising turnout. Roger Michener announced season ticket sales for the new 18 000 seat stadium with four home games priced at 24 dollars.

Copter Crash Kills 11 in Louisiana Marsh

Supreme Court declines Idaho busing case

The Supreme Court refused to review an Idaho Supreme Court ruling that bars parochial school pupils from riding public school buses. The Idaho court had struck down a public bus law allowing mixed attendance riders, a decision upheld 3-2. Parents of affected students filed the appeal.
