Joseph Thayer of Pullman a University of Washington student was awarded damages after diving at Albert Elkins resort in Priest Lake April 26 1975 struck a submerged rock. The jury found Thayer 90 percent negligent while Elkins was 10 percent negligent under Idaho law.

March of Dimes Holds Bonner County 24 Hour Dance Marathon
About 159 local youths have signed up for a 24 hour dance marathon at Sidwell Junior High to raise funds for a transport incubator for Bonner General Hospital. Performances by Willowbay Marina sponsored groups from Sandpoint High and the Old Time Fiddlers will accompany the event which runs May 20 starting 7 p.m. with registration at 6 p.m. Volunteers and pledges are sought through local outlets.
