Stolen bikes reported in Sandpoint incidents
Two bicycles were stolen in Sandpoint reported to police yesterday. Lawrence Easton said an orange 10 speed was taken from his front yard and Bob Mendenhall reported a green 10 speed stolen from his front porch. Neither bike was registered, a police spokesman noted.

Judge removes youth from Deep Throat obscenity jury

Unemployment Rate Not Indicative Of Economic Collapse
Idaho's unemployment rate does not signal an economic collapse says H Fred Garrett executive director of the Department of Employment. January and February historically produce the year's highest rates with February often leading this distinction. The February rate fell to 6.5 percent from 7.4 percent in January due mainly to January's disaster effects in Northern Idaho. The seasonally adjusted rate dropped to 5.2 percent the lowest since last August, though nationally the adjusted rate is 5.2 percent as well. Garrett notes Idaho's rate has exceeded the national rate since May of last year.
