Idaho House Republicans win passage of HB467 by 44 to 20 to override Gov. Cecil D. Andrus veto on lands locked by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. Democrats joined to sustain, while Senate leaders indicated a likely failure to override. Andrus warned of delays to water projects including the American Falls Dam replacement.

Trucker Arrested After Beer Truck Rollover West of Sandpoint

Idaho State Police responded to an accident report seven miles west of Sandpoint on U S 2 and found a beer truck rolled over off the road. The driver appeared later and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

The Idaho House approved HB-619 with a 64 to 4 vote. The bill, sponsored by Allan Larson, offers tax reductions for seniors and certain qualifying groups with income brackets from under 3000 to over 4500 dollars, to be considered by the Senate.

Thompson unanimously approved to Idaho Fish and Game Commission
