Bonner County School Board to set Zone 5 trustee date
The Bonner County School Board will designate the date for the Zone 5 trustee election for a three year term. Petitions must include five signatures from eligible voters in the zone and petitions are due 18 days before the election. The board will also review building program figures, hear a PTA request, and address early graduation, bus sales, kindergarten and music program matters.

An unattended vehicle was struck by a Burlington Northern train at the old Schweitzer Cutoff Rd crossing. Harold L. Eastling, 48, of Sand Point owned the car. it slid into a ditch and $1,000 damage occurred. The driver left to call a wrecker. no injuries reported.
