Bonner County approves rezoning near Highway 95 for camper services
The Bonner County Planning Commission voted three to one Thursday to rezone a 165 by 460 foot parcel south of the Long Bridge near the Wagon Bridge Inn from agricultural suburban to Commercial for a proposed camper canopy service and manufacturing business led by Robert Gregg. Public opposition cited traffic and noise, with only Chairman Roy Wise dissenting. Thad Hunt Erick Heitman and Chris Warren voted yes, Lutey abstained, others absent. Attorney James Hunt described a 1,600 square foot rental store and parts department for campers and canopies and a manufacturing area, while assuring no dealer plans or excessive noise. Two access points from Highway 95 were planned. Residents raised safety concerns about Highway 95, and Kemp Slaughter, a nearby landowner, voiced worries about noise and fumes if a machine shop moved there. Continue on Page Two.
