Deputy Nabs Orofino Man
An escapee from the State Hospital at Orfino was captured Sunday at 8 45 PM by the Bonner County Sheriff’s Department while trying to retrieve his automobile behind the District Courthouse. He had been admitted earlier this month after voluntary commitment. the vehicle was held for court disposition. Sheriff Wilcox said he removed the ignition coil wire to prevent theft. Chief Deputy apprehended him as he tried to start the car. he remains in Bonner County Jail awaiting transfer to the state institution.

An unidentified girl about 15 to 18 was struck by a Burlington Northern train at 1 35 p m Saturday five miles south of here. Spokane police say a fast moving north bound train traveling 60 mph was visible for some distance before the impact.
