Helms did not tell Warren Commission of Castro plots
A UPI report says former CIA chief Richard Helms testified he was not asked by the Warren Commission about CIA plots to kill Fidel Castro. Senate findings note Helms said he did not initiate inquiries and that Allen Dulles, then CIA director, was present during commission deliberations. Howard K. Smith quoted Lyndon Johnson suggesting Castro influenced Kennedy’s assassination. Schweiker urges Helms to testify again.
