Andrus hits Nixon as McGovern delegates rally behind winner
In April 35 districts voted, McGovern backed by seven of 17 national delegates. Andrus urged unity, said the party will go to Miami mixed but pledged full support for the next president. He attacked Nixon on taxes, deficits, education funding, and environmental policy, calling for a focus on domestic programs and a war on poverty.
