Either Sex Elk Hunting In Four Idaho Units
North Idaho hunters will be allowed to shoot both bulls and cows in four units this fall. IFG Commissioner Pete Thompson told the Bonner County Sportsmen's Association that Units 4 6 7 and 9 start with either sex elk hunting for 19 days, then bulls only for the rest of the season. He noted most of Idaho will have bulls only, except for a few southeastern back-country drawings.

Eva E. McKay 68 of Athol was hit while 18 feet into a Sandpoint crosswalk at First and Cedar 2:30 p.m. yesterday. She suffered cuts and bruises and was treated by police, then moved to Bonner General and later to Kootenai Memorial. Elroy A. Selle 38 of Sandpoint was cited for inattentive driving.

Stroisch Jury Selection Begins in Idaho Murder Case
Jury selection starts Monday in the first degree murder trial of George Stroisch 39 of Post Falls Idaho. He is charged in the 1973 death of Rita Marcussen 20 also of Post Falls whose husband Ron 22 vanished November 19 1973. A skull later identified as Rita Marcussen’s was found near Rathdrum. No trace of Ron Marcussen remains.
