Woman Dies After Strangulation in Sandpoint Crash
June Darlene Hofmeister 41 of Sandpoint died from strangulation as a blow to the head preceded the attack. Coroner Dale Coffelt said neck abrasions link the head injury to the death found in a wrecked pickup on Schweitzer Cutoff Road. Five deputies and four States officers investigated. Prosecutor Dan Featherston offered no suspects but said prospects looked optimistic.

Henley Hummers to perform at Lions Beef Bar-B-Que
The Henley Hummers a four man skydiving team will perform for area residents at the Lions Beef Benefit Bar-B-Que on July 28. The first jump is planned for 1 30 p m from about 10 000 feet targeting Sandpoint City Beach. Three boat races are set for afternoon water events with a ground championship for winners.
