Bust of Canadian Connection Smuggling Ring Near Idaho Border

A 15 month investigation by the Idaho Bureau of Narcotics resulted in the arrest of two Americans on smuggling and possession charges after 327 pounds of marijuana and 118 pounds of dope were found near the Idaho Canada border. Youth Injured After Being Thrown From Pickup

SIRS to Youth Injured Douglas Penrod 16 of Ponderay was hurt Tuesday when he was thrown from the back of a pickup. Driver Edward W Bonin 17 of Kootenai swerved to avoid bumps on North Boyer near Airport Road at about 8 20 p m Penrod suffered cuts and bruises and was taken by private vehicle to Bonner General Hospital where officials said he is in satisfactory condition and may be released today.

Cited Driver Involved In Sandpoint Intersection Crash

Pauline C Spring 60 of Sandpoint was cited for failing to yield after her car collided with David B Sisson 16 of Sandpoint at the 6th and Oak intersection around 12 30 p m Tuesday. Sisson's car spun to a curb injuring his arm and he was taken for examination. Damages were about 1500 dollars for Springs car and 250 for Sissons.

Minor two car collision at 4th and Cedar

A two car collision occurred about 3 25 p m Tuesday at the intersection of 4th and Cedar. Lloyd Moe 69 Hope was waiting when Wilburt J Wigginton 42 Priest River backed from a parking slot into Moe s passenger side causing $200 damage and Wigginton was cited for failure to back reasonably.
