Sandpoint United Methodist Church Faces Possible Demolition
A Sandpoint reader voices concern that the United Methodist Church, a key historic building established in 1905, may be torn down for a modern business complex. Architects say the sanctuary is sound and remodelable for 12 000 to 15 000 dollars, while the rear addition could be replaced with a new social hall and classrooms. The writer urges preservation of the church and its park as a heritage link to Sandpoint’s early pioneers.
