City Attorney to Seek Reconsideration of Zoning
City Attorney Dan Featherston announced that the proposed zone variance for two Farmin's Addition lots appears illegal and will urge the City Council to reconsider. The council voted 3 to 2 last week against rezoning blocks eight and nine from residential A to commercial D but granted a variance for Frank Chapin's accounting office. Featherston cited conflicting statutes about required votes and public objections, and said a reconsideration will avoid a legal dispute.
