Warren Lutey says the 15 acre project is the Sandpoint area’s first of its kind with early inquiries from small electronics firms and a heater baseboard manufacturer. Construction is underway with Emerald Redi-Mix concrete and a truck center planned next week. Church Amendment Passes With Tax Relief For Elderly Retirees
Senator Frank Church won approval of an amendment giving roughly 165000 elderly retirees an average $182 tax relief for 1976. The plan lets taxpayers 65 or older choose either the elderly credit or the retirement income credit, with phase-out rules reducing maximum benefits as income rises. Eligible claimants may file amended returns by April 15, 1980 and receive refunds plus 7 percent interest. retiree groups will assist in claims.

The March of Dimes schedules a 24 hour dance marathon at Stidwell Junior High on May 20 beginning 7 p.m. Admission is free for contestants and 2.50 per couple or 1.50 for singles for spectators. Ira W. Carter, 20, and a juvenile female were arrested Wednesday morning on first degree burglary charges for stealing two tires from the K-2 Motel Tuesday night. Carter is held on a $500 bond at Bonner County Jail with a preliminary hearing set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3.

Two Cars Collide In Dover Intersection Mishap
Peter H. McMullan of Dover and Edward C. Lee of Priest River, both 34, were in a two car crash at 6th and Oak Street around 4 40 p.m. Wednesday. McMullan’s car sustained about 1000 dollars in damage while Lee’s suffered about 200 dollars. Police at City Hall said neither driver was cited pending further investigation.
