Richard Hansen, vice chairman, says the 684000 bond failed 229 to 130 mainly because many Bayview residents already have usable water systems. Had the bond passed, customers would have paid about 16.5 dollars monthly for both services and fire protection. Non residents and absentee voters opposed the measure, aided by a new law allowing non resident owners and 30 day residents to vote on local issues.

Senators Urge Nixon Reversal In Fertilizer Waiver

Petition Filed Against Youths In Bomb Hoax
Juvenile petitions have been filed with the prosecuting attorney against two Sandpoint Junior High School youths arrested Tuesday by city police for a tomb threat at the school. They were suspended from school and may face a one year suspension as board policy. A polygraph test was agreed to by the youths and parents to determine involvement in other bomb threats. Police also asked several other youths to take polygraphs regarding further threats.
