Rules Proposed For Disposal Systems
The Department of Health and Welfare proposes amendments to its Manual of Operating Policies and Procedures. It would make it unlawful to construct alter or extend individual sewage systems without a department permit. The department would require homeowners to apply to the director for permits and describe a complete installation plan including property details and existing facilities. Installers would need an annual registration permit and must pass an examination for initial issuance.
