Idaho Congressman's DDT Request Hits Department Hurdle
Representative Symms announced that the Agriculture Department will not intervene in Idaho's bid to use DDT against the tussock moths along the Oregon border. He plans to take the matter to the EPA, arguing for a limited emergency application to stop the moths from spreading into Idaho forests. He warned against delaying action, saying no substitute currently exists.
