Honesty pays off for Clark Fork High students

Clark Fork High sophomores Russell Schenck and Howard Therien found $1900 in a Toyota owner's manual on a highway near Troy during spring break. They turned it in to police and the owner, neighbor Robert Goff, rewarded them with $25 each. Schenck is the mayoral son. Therien is Gwendolyn Therien's son.

Thirteen Dogs Find Homes After Court Adoptions

The Bonner County Humane Society found homes for 13 dogs impounded by court order after Laura Wilson of Colburn was convicted for failure to provide care. BCHS member Charlie Fontaine said the last dog was adopted Tuesday night, hours before dogs would be returned to Wilson. The court had set an April 12 deadline to place the dogs.
