East German Youth Loses Foot Crossing Mine Border
An 18 year old East German youth had a foot blown off by a mine while fleeing across the border into West Germany. He staggered into West German territory and was treated at Mellrichstadt hospital where doctors said he would probably survive. Police did not name him.

Nixon seeks 60 million for jobless youths programs

Andrus Criticizes GOP on Idaho Health and Education Funding

Ranchers Get $193,300 Loan for Pleasanta Valley Grazing
Idaho Representative Orval Hansen announced a $193,300 Farmers Home Administration loan approved for 27 ranchers in the Pleasant Valley Grazing Association.
