Unemployment Dips as March Jobs Hit New High
The Labor Department reports unemployment at 5.0 percent in March with 83.9 million people employed, up 700,000 from February. Teenagers and adult men gain most while teen joblessness falls to 14.2 percent. earnings rise 6.2 percent year over year to 140.23 weekly.

Violet No. 1 Dye Banned by FDA Over Cancer Concerns
The FDA revoked approval for Violet No. 1 the dye used to stamp meat grades and color foods saying new studies link it to cancer. The ban takes effect April 10 with no recalls of current products and meat grading will switch to other approved colors. About thirty percent of Violet No. 1 used in the U.S. colors meat.
