The Sandoval Board of Trustees held a regular meeting at City Hall on Monday night May 5. New members were sworn in after roll call. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Outhouse announce the marriage of their daughter Eunice of Springfield to Orin Satterlee of Peoria on December 31 1946 at the Hillsboro Methodist parsonage. Rev. Whitlock officiated the single ring ceremony. Eunice a Springfield Beauty school graduate worked at Ann Rutledge Beauty salon. Orin served 4 1/2 years in the armed forces returning from overseas duty November 25 1945 and has since worked at Ford Motor in Peoria. They will reside in Peoria in a new home.

Sandoval Couple Observes 55th Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs Albert Huffmaster of Sandoval celebrate 55 years of marriage. Married in St Louis on May 3 1892 by Rev Kerr, they later lived in St Louis Paragould Ark and now enjoy garden tending radio ball games and card games. The couple both survived pneumonia last winter and they remain active and well regarded. Mrs Huffmaster has three sisters in California and Mr Huffmaster two sisters in California.

Queen Esther Class Mothers Day Banquet Held in Sandoval
The Queen Esther Class of the Methodist Church in Sandoval met at Sandoval grade school on Friday night May 2 for a mother daughter banquet. A pot luck supper and spring flower decor followed by sunshine gifts and a business meeting led by president Adra Reinhardt. Leolia Telford gave a devotional on The History of Mothers Day.

Band Concert Dazzles Despite Rain at Sandoval High
Sandoval Community High School auditorium hosted a crowded Friday May 2 band concert under director Arthur J. Albrecht. Students performed a two hour program featuring solos by Eugene Myers and Mr Seely, a sax quartet, and selections including Old Timers The Danube River and Auld Lang Syne. Several performers were absent due to illness and replacement was arranged.
