St Louis July milk reports show fluid milk sales down 7.72 percent from June and 6.72 percent from July last year. Total Class 1 sales reached 23 995 693 pounds with daily averages at 774 055. Producers delivered 30 527 371 pounds. prices rose to 5.51 per hundredweight for 3.5 percent milk FCOB.

William Harvey injured in Glenridge mine accident
William Harvey of Sandoval injured his left foot at 1 p.m. Monday August 16 while using a cutting machine in the Glenridge mine. He broke several bones and was taken to St. Mary's hospital in Centralia in satisfactory condition, with an expected two week stay. Harvey has about 30 years in mining, 25 in Glenridge.

Legion No. 995 met at City Park on Tuesday night August 17 to install officers for the coming year and to enjoy a fish fry. Albert Blinn Huffmaster, 85, Dies at Sandoval Home
Albert Blinn Huffmaster died at his Sandoval home on Tuesday morning August 17 at 1 oclock. He was 85 years old. Born October 13, 1863 in Cincinnati, he worked for Mallinckrodt Chemical Co in St Louis before moving to Sandoval 22 years ago. He is survived by his wife. Funeral services were held at 11 a m August 19 at the Sandoval Methodist Church with Rev Vance Comer officiating. Burial followed at St Peters Cemetery in St Louis County Mo. Cox and Martin funeral directors supervised arrangements.
