The Sandoval Public School begins Friday September 1 1950 at 8 45 am for kindergarten through eighth grade registration. Lunch starts September 5 with price 1 00 per week if paid Monday morning or 25 cents per meal otherwise. Major improvements include cleaned floors refinished gym stage new tile in the kindergarten room roof repair new kitchen equipment and plastering by Carl Ford. The Sandoval Volunteer Fire Department answered two calls on Saturday, August 5. At 1:20 p.m. they fought a grass fire near Radio Station WCNT on Highway 51 and at 8:15 p.m. another grass fire across Highway 50 north of the Y Cafe. No damage was reported.
