Mexican duel ends in fatal shooting near Eagle Pass
Aug Hernandez and Miguil Sepdba, both Mexicans from Eagle Pass, argued in the yard at Castells Joaquin's home last Sunday. Hernandez drew a gun, was shot by Sepdba who then fired five times after stumbling in mud. Hernandez died. Inquest by Justice of the Peace U T Chamberlain returned a verdict of murder as described. Sepdba fled and is still missing. Sheriff Neal alerted surrounding counties for the suspect.

Boys Pig Clubs Organized at Two Schools
County agent S. F. Clark organized pig clubs at San Saba high school and Cherokee school. San Saba club has 20 members and Cherokee 16. Members aged 10 to 18 will own and care for a pig, with exhibitions planned at next summer’s county fair. Commended and encouraged by patrons and the public.

San Saba High Triumphs Over Cherokee Juniors
San Saba High School defeated the Cherokee Juniors 13 to 0 at Fair Grounds Park in a hard fought football game. Sanderson powered a first quarter TD after strong runs and a failed Whitt kick. The second and third periods featured stout defense until a late fourth quarter drive secured the final score. The win marks four victories in five games this season and the paper notes no player credits due to uniform indistinguishability.
