County Democratic Committee Faces Court Mandamus Action
The County Democratic Executive Committee considered a petition seeking Hugh Miller’s name on the official ballot. Since filing and consent requirements were not met by the deadline, Miller’s name was deemed ineligible. After the last day for primary fees, Miller supporters offered the money, but the petition was refused and mandamus action was planned, with lawyers consulted as the story develops.
