A cemetery working will be held at High Valley cemetery on June 2 to keep the two church cemeteries clean. A cemetery association tied to the Methodist church at Chappl and High Valley will hire staff to maintain both sites. Donations are welcome. Mr and Mrs Jeff Byrd returned from El Paso where they visited sister Mrs Artie Williams and saw Cecil Smith along with other former San Saba residents.
Rev and Mrs Daws of Lubbock will preach at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Thursday night He pastors a 4 Square church in Lubbock and is assisted by his wife Miss Inez Ketchum longtime San Saba resident The preacher will discuss Signs of the Prophesies There are regular services Sundays and also Tuesday and Thursday nights
Otto Herold president of the association announced plans to hold an annual Baby Doll Parade at the 1933 State Fair of Texas. Following the success of the 1932 Parade the event will be open to children from all parts of the state.
John W. Russell notes the Murray building front occupied by J. W. Carroll was placed there in 1879 and remodeled. He cites contractor John Q Reiley and Wiley Murray as the builder’s family. Dr. Dave Fentress first occupied the building with a drug store. Beverly Stone and Lucille Wempleton of Richland Springs visited Loray Watkins in San Saba Wednesday.
Rev J J McCall of Sanderson is visiting his brother Rev R K McCall at the Presbyterian Manse this week, staying to share fellowship and discuss church matters.
