Sloan News Finds No Rain Yet and Calf Sales Rise
The Sloan community reports no rainfall yet with hopeful signs from northern and eastern neighbors. Turtles on dry ridges hint at possible high water, while ranchers market calves earlier than usual. Calves sold at Lampasas Auction and Brownwood/ Lometa markets, with prices and weights unsatisfactory. Rev and Mrs Lewis L Wilking leave for Junction City Arkansas after a going away party at New Hope Presbyterian Church.
