New Oil Well Promises 100 Barrels Daily
The San Saba area nears its first producing oil well on the Alf M Smith lease 11 miles east of town. Drilled to 750 feet, the well was cleaned and 1000 gallons of acid poured before a casing defect caused a blowout.
