The Aylor Cedar Company shipped 16 car loads of cedar posts from its San Saba yard since January to February 18. The cedar trade requires many workers and wages, with crews cutting, hauling, and loading at the yards. Other yards are also producing and shipping cedar, plus local trade and truck shipments to nearby points. Sixteen cars left one yard in under 60 days.

Brownwood report states Colbert Jones, 15, of Goldthwaite Texas died in a Brownwood hospital from gunshot wounds suffered Sunday night on the Calvin Dalton farm. Earl Nowell, 17, of Goldthwaite was lightly wounded and expected to recover after a shooting incident described at an examining trial. Nowell released on 1500 dollars bond to face the Goldthwaite grand jury. Mrs C D Hayden is visiting relatives in Fort Worth this week.
