Valentine party honors oldest Methodist class in Harkeyville
Irene Linn Gibson hosts a Martha Class Valentine gathering at the home of Mrs. Joe C Taylor and Mrs. Barney Davidson. The event features a 100 year old love letter from Israel Harkey to Cassadie Gunter and recalls Rev. T F Dimmitt as the first teacher. The group, with 25 active members and several regular nonattenders, plans annual observances and notes long service of past teachers.

Moore Rites Held in Dallas
Funeral services for Andrew Jackson Moore 47 of Dallas longtime Dallas Fire Department employee were held at 10 a.m. Friday at McKamy Ingram Batchler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ed Hayes officiating. Moore died Wednesday in a Dallas hospital after an extended heart illness. He was born in San Saba and survived by his wife a daughter Linda Ann Moore three brothers Charlie Cage and T A Moore a sister Mrs Johnny Shepard. Pallbearers were Ray Harbert E R Coffman O C Martin M C Hendrix J E Pearson and W H Lumpkin with honorary pallbearers from the Dallas Fire Department. Burial followed at Grove Hill Memorial Park conducted by the R C Buckner Masonic Lodge.

Streich Rites Held Monday
Services for Mrs. Fannie Streich aged 84 were held at the Howell-Doran Chapel at 4:30 p.m. Monday February 17 conducted by Vernon Ripley minister of the Church of Christ. She died at the home of her daughter Mrs Jamie Miller in Ballinger after three years of ill health. Survivors include three daughters a brother six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Burial was in Wallace Creek Cemetery. Howell-Doran Funeral Directors in charge.
