Frances Reyes, nine, a child cared for by friends of the Reyes family, died at Richland Springs after oxygen therapy under Dr I O Stone. She was the fourth member of the Concepcion Reyes family to die from pneumonia. Burial followed beside her mother, father, and older sister in Richland Springs cemetery.

Davenport recalls a man known as the handy organizer at all community events from church to Fourth of July. A fearless grand juror, he stood for law and order, yet remained generous and respectful of differing faiths. His Union Army parents inspired his values. he joined the Richland Springs Baptist church and remained active. A charter member of San Saba county Old Settlers, he never missed a meeting. He was a steadfast early pioneer who knew the right and dared to do it.
An ordinance imposes annual occupation taxes on coin operated entertainment and vending machines. Machines charging over five cents incur five dollar annual tax and two dollar monthly tax. five cent machines incur two and a half dollar annual tax and one dollar monthly tax. Exempts pay phones and gas meters. Requires tax receipt display and enacts penalties with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SABA TEXAS.
Mrs S J Dunnahoo died at her family home near San Saba on February 6. The body was buried the next day in City Cemetery after services at First Baptist Church. Born August 18, 1864 in Caldwell county, she neared her 70th birthday. Surviving: husband and three children Allen Dunnahoo Hart Dunnahoo and Mrs C T Loucks.

Friends and neighbors are thanked for kindness during illness and death of Mrs J W Berry. Special thanks to Dr Pence for patient care and availability in all weather. A funeral service is planned at the San Saba Episcopal church at 4 30 Sunday P M. A high school firemen’s play drew a full house despite steady rain.

It requires visible tax receipts and fines up to 50 dollars for violations. The measure passes under emergency conditions on February 12, 1945, by Mayor Jot. McConneil with city secretary HL Moore.
