Son Kills Father in Saturday Night Fatality
Irvin Grant, 19, is jailed on murder charges after his father Bob Grant, 41, was killed at their home Saturday night. County attorney Gray says the son claimed self defense in a late confession given at the county jail. The elder Grant died from a knife attack and rock strikes after a quarrel, with burial in Harris old graveyard conducted by Rev. Thomson. The family includes a wife, three children, and two step children.

N W Prentice was re elected as Superintendent of Richland Springs Schools at the February board meeting. It is his third term. The High School completed all affiliations and rose from 87 to 147 students this year. The faculty increased from nine to fourteen members.

District Governor Visits San Saba Lions on Tuesday

Hillman Winners At All American Turkey Show
Hillman winners at the All American Turkey Exposition in Grand Forks North Dakota January 27 to 30 include the Narragansett Silversheen strain with top placings for young toms and hens. Exhibits earned two Silver Trophy Cups and Bronze Plaque. notable feats include Champion Narragansett Tom, best display and best four young toms from one exhibitor.
