The Richland Springs basketball team defeated Locker 17 to 12 on the Richland Springs site in San Saba to claim the county championship and earn a spot in the district tournament at Brownwood. Lineups featured Terry at center for Richland Springs with H Miller and P Taylor as guards and Spurlock and Brown as forwards. substitutions included Mayes Moore and Ransome. Locker's squad had Owens at center with Nettleship at guard, Jones and Reavis forward, with Hickman subbing for Nettleship. Referee W T Terry and umpire S G Boynton officiated.
