Frisco Refuses To Pay Tax On Road District Bonds
The Frisco railway refuses to pay road district taxes in Brown County pending a Supreme Court ruling on special road district bonds. Tax collector W A Butler cannot accept partial payments, delaying full tax status. If the railway loses, a 10 percent penalty plus 6 percent interest from February 1 will apply. if right, penalties vanish and county must accept taxes minus road district dues. Musical Program Delights Llano Audiences Thursday Night
A cold Thursday did not stop a fair crowd at the high school auditorium from enjoying a San Saba Municipal Band concert with Llano talent. The program of about twenty numbers featured cornet solos violin and piano pieces and a humorous bow and derby act by band director Mr Sauer. Robert Campbell of San Saba impressed with a dual cornet performance and Scotch dances, earning audience praise.
