Soldier Joins Strong Shield Maneuver in Korea
Army Pfc. Joel E B Wood of Mrs Rosalee Hunt’s family joined fellow members of the 7th Infantry Division in Exercise Strong Shield in Korea, a late November field training maneuver testing combat readiness. Wood, a truck driver with Battery D 6th Battalion 80th Artillery, arrived overseas last July after enlisting in January 1963 and completing basic at Fort Polk Louisiana. The 17 year old served as the page ends.
