War Savings stamps pledge urged as the way to honor returning soldiers. Citizens are asked to build up the War Savings Stamp total rather than loud cheering. The government plans to spend 50 million dollars daily for months to support the fighter boys, so lend your money today.
G A Walters and J H Baker run Walters and Baker Law Land Loan and Abstract Office in San Saba Texas. The ad lists services for real estate loans abstracts and general law with associated partners and figures.
A call for funds to erect a San Saba county marble monument on the northwest corner of the public square in San Saba town. It would bear the names of county men who died in the war and enlistees sealed for future reference, with a future dedication ceremony reflecting national sacrifice.

Calvin Brown of the Bethel community died at his son Joe L. Brown's home on Friday December 6 and was buried next to his wife in Richland Springs cemetery on the following day. Born December 1847 in Ohio County Kentucky, he was 71. He leaves three sons R A Joe Ly and Ed. The family moved to Texas in the 1890s and settled in the county. He was a devout Baptist and long regarded as a good citizen. Stobaugh reports new stock of groceries for holiday trade.
