Cotton Leaf Worm Control Issue in County
Cotton leaf worms have appeared on cotton in several parts of the county eating insects. Control options include Calcium Arsenate undiluted or Paris Green diluted with hydrated lime or flour. Apply as a fine dust, preferably when dew is present in the early morning. One application with the pole-and-bag method may suffice for now, with a possible second brood needing later treatment.
