Old A.Tellersee recalls hearing dependability echoed by druggists for years. He muses on a misfill risk and seeks a dependable shop, choosing The Corner Drug Store as the trusted option, with a nod to a quip about eyes and memory.
The humorist Packard draws a lively crowd with a flood of good humor and a story about Uncle Sam. His routine includes caricatures of diverse Americans and a playful reunion with national symbols, delivered to a mixed audience in the United States.
The North Pole comedian Mr. Packard drew shouts of laughter for over an hour as he spoofed Broadway and foreign cultures. His Ames home sketch contrasted the ideal home with modern creeds, socialism, communism, and bolshevism. Whitt Johnson, a drafts age veteran, served in the Ninth Regiment and earned several medals.
An advertisement for Aladdin aluminum and enamel ware proclaims it the best on earth and credits W. A. Martin as the seller.
The notice urges schoolchildren and teachers to be at the Fair Grounds on April 22 and asks not to disappoint them. It mentions F Dofflemeyer and family, Julia Dofflemeyer, and a move to San Antonio. Also notes Brown from Bethel attending district court in Lamesa as a murder witness and returning home. A property trade by Mrs G W Mauldin and moving to Belton is reported. An advertisement for Prickly Ash Bitters claims blood cleansing and health benefits at $1.25 per bottle from Corner Drug Store.
A child, Marguerite Hendricks, sustained a broken left arm just below the elbow while playing on a lawn swing last Thursday. The injury is described as painful but she is progressing well this week.
Hugh Henry and his wife are again full fledged San Saba residents living in a Campbell cottage on Wallace Street. He spent a year in Richland Sprints but kept the home in view and is now employed at J W Carroll grocery.
Local notice lists MESSRS RECTOR and RECTOR lawyers and real estate agents in San Saba Texas alongside G A Walters Walters and Baker law land loan and abstract office offering services in property and legal matters for residents and businesses.
