Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. at San Marino Community Church for Marjorie Schutte Talt a longtime San Marino resident who died Sunday at Huntington Memorial Hospital. Former Otis Chandler Home Destroyed By Three-Alarm Fire
The former Los Angeles Times publisher Otis Chandler's 9,893 square foot home on an acre was destroyed in a three alarm fire that required more than 50 firefighters from San Marino and four neighboring communities to extinguish after nearly six hours. The fire began from unattended cooking and the house lacked sprinklers or monitored alarms per city codes.
