San Marino Council Waives Library Facility Fees
The San Marino City Council voted 4 to 1 to drop rental fees for community groups using Crowell Public Library facilities, projecting a $5,000 revenue loss. Assistant City Manager Cindy Collins noted groups have said the library should be free, while Kneier argued the library costs rise to $1.1–$1.2 million annually. Librarian Ann Dallavalle said residents expect a free, community-centered library, and donors were discussed as an alternative.
